Billing Policy
Last updated: April 4, 2026
This Billing Policy explains how Senchabot subscriptions, renewals, billing cycles, and cancellations work for paid plans.
1. Billing Provider
Payments are processed through Polar. By purchasing a paid plan, you also agree to Polar's checkout and payment processing terms.
2. Subscription Billing
- Paid plans are billed in advance on a recurring basis.
- Available billing intervals are monthly or quarterly (every 3 months, where offered).
- Your subscription renews automatically at the end of each billing period unless canceled.
3. Taxes (Country-Based)
Polar handles tax calculation at checkout. Applicable taxes (such as VAT, GST, or sales tax) are determined based on your billing country, state/region (if applicable), and local tax rules.
- Tax rates can differ by country and local jurisdiction.
- The final tax amount is calculated during checkout and may differ from the base plan price shown before checkout.
- Where supported by checkout and local law, providing a valid tax ID may change tax treatment.
4. Plan Changes
- Subscription plan and billing interval changes take effect immediately.
- We use proration with Invoice Immediately behavior for subscription changes.
- For billing interval changes (for example monthly to quarterly (every 3 months), or quarterly to monthly), Polar applies proration as an immediate invoice.
5. Cancellation
- You can cancel from the billing portal at any time.
- If canceled, your plan typically stays active until the current period ends, then renewals stop.
- Canceling a subscription does not automatically issue a refund for the current billing period.
- For eligible downgrade refunds (full amount, not pro-rated), see our Refund Policy window rules (within 3 days for monthly billing, or within 9 days for quarterly billing).
6. Failed Payments
If a payment fails, we or our billing provider may retry the charge. Access to paid features may be limited, paused, or downgraded if payment is not completed.
7. Price Changes
We may update pricing from time to time. Any change will apply to future billing periods and will not retroactively change already paid periods.
8. Chargebacks and Disputes
If you believe a charge is incorrect, contact us first so we can help. Fraudulent or abusive chargebacks may result in account restrictions.
